New location for Buxton Fringe AGM

PRESS RELEASE For immediate release – October 16th 2017

Buxton Festival Fringe is extending an open invitation to its Annual General Meeting now in a new location, the Green Man Gallery, Buxton.

The AGM will take place on Wednesday 8th November from 7pm to 8pm and will include an opportunity to socialise with Fringe committee members over wine and nibbles. During the AGM, the chair Keith Savage will share his report on the 2017 Fringe and committee members will be voted into key roles. At 8pm there will be an abbreviated committee meeting with newcomers welcome to attend.

The Fringe is always looking for new committee members and hopes the new setting will be even more welcoming and friendly for those attending the AGM for the first time. Keith says: “We make our AGMs friendly and informative, so if you have any interest in the work that goes on behind the scenes of the Fringe then we would love to see you."

2017’s successful Buxton Fringe was the biggest ever and plans are already afoot for 2018’s event which will take place from July 4-22. The website opens for entries on December 1 2018.

In other Fringe news, a competition to produce artwork for next year’s Fringe programme closes on November 1, and a Christmas Party celebrating the opening of entries for next year’s event and featuring Derbyshire Village Carols will take place at the Green Man on Saturday December 9. Full details of all Fringe activities are available on www.buxtonfringe.org.uk
