FEEL THE RHYTHM AT BUXTON FESTIVAL FRINGE

PRESS RELEASE: For immediate release May/June 2006

A valuable complement to our massive music section, the Dance category of this years Buxton Festival Fringe (July 7-23) is typically diverse and exciting.

Manchester-based Latin band, Jasofula, will be performing at Sensational Salsas dynamic party at the Railway Hotel on the first night of the Fringe. This is your chance to salsa the night away in style and dont worry if you have never danced before - there is an 8.30pm beginners workshop for newcomers. Sensational Salsa is locally based and runs popular salsa classes in Buxton every Tuesday.

An innovative blend of puppetry, dance and drama helps Abalino Dance Theatre bring to life Bobroshkovs Dream and Other Stories in an evening production that explores the surreal aspects of growing old.

A free performance from Cadence in the Pavilion Gardens offers a three-person dance to the music of Evan Parker while over at the Old Hall Hotel, The Dreaming Tree is an exciting programme of young dance from Split Soul Dance Theatre incorporating everything from interpretive duets to comic tap dances.

The Fringe would like to expand its Dance section. If you would like to take part next year, whether through performances, open-air acts or workshops, please Send message to Info
