Deadline looming for 10 per cent Fringe discount

Buxton Festival Fringe, the annual arts event running alongside the opera-based Buxton Festival, is reminding potential performers that entries arriving before April 1 can claim a ten per cent discount.

A significant number of entries have already been received but there is always a tendency to wait until the last minute - the final deadline for all entries is a strict May 1.

Entrants who do not yet have an information pack and booking form can contact us or telephone programme co-ordinator John Wilson on 01298 70562.

There is also information for entrants and a down-loadable booking form on this website. This is a new departure for the Fringe but allows entrants to send in the booking form electronically. This is immensely helpful to the Fringe as it is run entirely by volunteers and up till now every entry has had to be re-keyed for the programme - a time-consuming and error-prone procedure.

This year's Fringe takes place between July 8-24 and will feature a special, free Fringe Sunday showcase at the Pavilion Gardens on the first Sunday afternoon. The free Fringe programme, now full-colour, will be widely available from early June. Check out this website for further updates and news of what looks set to be a bigger than ever event.
