FRINGE40: 40 Years of Buxton Fringe

In June 2019 we marked the Fringe's 40th year with an exhibition mapping its growth from humble beginnings to its position today as one of the UK’s largest open-access fringe festivals. Celebrating four decades of fun, the exhibits included programmes, photographs, memorabilia and quotes together with small frames documenting the various aspects of Buxton Fringe. We are very grateful to Buxton's Green Man Gallery for the loan of their exhibition space. Please click on an image to enlarge.
